Music lovers rejoice! d3 Unplugged sessions will continue throughout the month of February with a brand new line-up of local talent and exciting performances. Singer and rapper Moh Flow, neo-soul singer Reem Ekay, spoken word artist Jaysus Zain, singer and songwriter Danny Aridi and many more will be among the performers of this month’s Unplugged sessions. DJ acts include Sonya, DJ Liutik, DJ Shock and Travis J. Join us every Saturday from 6pm onwards between Buildings 8 and 9 at the stairs by Akiba Dori.

Feb 2nd

DJ Sonya

SONYA is an avid DJ whose signature sound of blending everything from Hip Hop, Funk, House and Pop has given her an opportunity to DJ shows for thousands of people on convention center stages, fashion shows, festivals, brand events and club parties. She began her djing journey in 2014 and is a graduate of the Jam Master Jay’s legendary Scratch DJ Academy. Sonya has since been able to travel the world, djing for many notable brands including Hermes, YSL, Paco Rabanne, Versace, Nike and many others.

Moh Flow

Since 2005, Syrian born artist Moh Flow’s journey in music has witnessed an evolution of a rapper-turned-singer and now a songwriter. The 13-year veteran has released three mixtapes, a well-received debut album, ‘This is You’, some notable collaborations- including a the soundtrack for the Daytime Emmy nominated ‘I’m with the Banned’- and is set to drop his latest album masterpiece, ‘Faith’, a personal retrospective in September 2018.

Bruno Fave

Australian songwriter/producer 'Bru Fave' brings a blend of Rock, Soul and Island influences to his live show and song writing. Citing main influences such as Lenny Kravitz, Stevie Wonder and Craig David, his live loop show is a chilled out and groovy experience. Catch him performing around Dubai everyday of the week at venues such as Nikki Beach Hotel, Grapeskin and Jumeirah Beach Hotel.

Danny Aridi

Danny Aridi is a Canadian/Lebanese multi-award winning singer and songwriter, signed by Universal Music. He has been performing for more than 10 years and won a number of talent shows and nominations for his music. He has a unique, raspy, powerful voice and has performed before some internationally known artists such as Calvin Harris, P!NK, Fifth Harmony, Katy Perry, The Backstreet Boys, Guns n Roses, and Post Malone.

DJ Liutik

DJ Liutik has been in the hospitality industry since she was 20 years old. Moldovian born DJ Liutik worked at the prestigious Dance Planet Night Club in Chinsinau, Moldova for three years. Having been influenced by the music and club culture of the environments that she worked in, DJ Liutik deejayed at private events in Dubai and decided to become an independent DJ. She has performed at prestigious events like Abu Dhabi Red Bull Air Race alongside Nancy Ajram. Her music is eclectic and encompasses house, R&B, and chill-out/lounge.

Saffron

Saffron Collins is a 17-year-old, UAE-raised singer-songwriter who has already released an EP, has made high-profile festival appearances and produced many genre-crossing collaborations. She has since been signed to Universal Music MENA, Dubai, and released 4 new singles.

Hasan Malik

At 19 years old, Hasan Malik has quickly established himself as one of Dubai’s upcoming talents, performing at several prominent venues across the region. He made his national debut in February 2016, performing at the Middle East's biggest musical festival, RedFest DXB, as part of an international lineup including Rita Ora, Adam Lambert, and Fifth Harmony. In November 2016, Hasan won the Yasalam Emerging Talent Competition, performing at Beats on the Beach alongside Travis Scott and Sean Paul, as well as earning a 2017 Du Arena Residency. In late 2016, Hasan performed at du Arena before both Coldplay and Rihanna and was the opening act for Olly Murs during his Spring Tour Concert. In 2018, Hasan performed at RedFest DXB for the second time and headlined his first show as part of The Fridge Concert Series. Hasan recently signed with Universal Music and will be releasing his debut tracks throughout 2019.

TINO

Tino’s purpose in life is to move people through song! His passion for music stems from his influential Samoan heritage and his love for gospel and soul records. Paying homage to his favorite records, his live performances showcase his proficient musical and unique vocal styling, as well as his friendly, down to earth charm.

DJ Shock has an outstanding resume including tours in USA, Europe, UAE, Russia Georgia, Ukraine and Belarus and performing with top artists as Pitbull, Craig David, Mystikal, Coolio, Shaggy, Fat Boy Slim, G Unit, Snap, Meek Mill and much more! Playing and residency at the best clubs in UAE: Billionaire Mansion, Armani Prive, Zero Gravity, Stereo Arcade, Crystal, Movida, Sensation, Aloft, Mirage.

Reem Ekay

Reem Ekay is a multitude of creative professions, and dubs herself a “project-based artist”. She is an architect shaping the city by day and dives into facilitating the city’s sound by night. Predominantly a spoken word poet, she weaves her pieces into neo-soul tracks, and shifts between the two mediums in her work - which is based on various discourses about the metropolis she calls home. Born and raised in Dubai, she has performed at venues such as the Music Room, Dubai Design District, FRAME, Al Serkal Avenue, NYUAD, collaborated with brands such as Brownbook, MINI COOPER Fashion, Dubai Fashion-Forward, SoleDXB, Freshly Ground Sounds, Rooftop Rhythms to name a few. An avid supporter and player in Dubai’s growing urban scene, Reem Ekay channels her unique sound and arrangements to tell her story - with an old school flavor.

Jaysus Zain

Jaysus Zain has the ability to split himself into multiple characters that are all intricately raw and beautiful. He uses words as his powerful medium for illustrating dreams, weaving visions, and telling stories. His use of words are nothing less than notes that harmoniously develops into a melody that connects us all by delivering a relatable mental visual of the symphony we experience as our lives.

Jindi

Influenced by the sounds of the '70s, '80's Soul/R&b Music, Jindi delivers different styles through his music, having a melody driven songwriting technique. The Sudanese artist incorporates elements of Funk, Soul, Reggae into his music.

Travis J

Toronto nativeDIJT Developed his sound working with Drake, Majid Jordan and other artists from the OVO camp. 3 World Tours and Multiple Albums later, TJ brings his electric collection of genres and unmatched energy to Dubai, landing a residency at La Carnita and Cartel.

Zenden Lavon

Zenden Lavon is a singer/Hip Hop artist that delivers powerful messages through soulful sounds and recently had the opportunity to open for the legendary rapper NAS at the SOLE DXB festival. He is a creative force looking to disrupt the music scene as his music continues to reach new heights.

NOON

NOON is the kind of band you might expect, or rather hope, to encounter in the UAE – an audio approximation of the Emirates’ cluttered cosmopolitanism and contemporary, borderless ethos. Made up of three players, drawn from different cultural and musical backgrounds, the instrumental trio bravely embody, and certainly enliven, the hackneyed idea of East/West musical fusions.
