Dr. Amina Al Rustamani is Group Chief Executive Officer of TECOM Group, a member of Dubai Holding, and strategic business enabler that contributes to the realisation of Dubai’s economic aspirations through the creation of sector-focused business communities that provide innovative solutions and home to over 5,100 companies and 76,000 knowledge and creative workers in Dubai, UAE.
Since 2013, she has overseen the company’s innovation strategy, in line with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai’s vision to transform the Emirate into an innovation-led economy. As part of this plan, Dr. Amina has championed the development of Dubai Design District (d3), a pioneering, purpose built creative destination for the Middle East’s growing design industry.
Prior to her current role, Dr. Amina was CEO of TECOM Business Parks, where she was responsible for the various free zone and non-free zone business communities within TECOM Group.
Dr. Amina is Chairman of the Dubai Design and Fashion Council, and Dubai Health Care City FZ-LLC. She also sits on a number of Boards across both the public and private sectors, including the National Media Council, Dubai Media Incorporated, and Empower. Her work with the Higher Dubai Smart City Initiative Committee is aimed at helping transform Dubai into a Smart City.
Dr. Amina is widely recognised as one of the Arab World’s most influential and charismatic business leaders.
Dr. Amina holds degrees at both the Bachelor and Master levels, as well as a Doctorate in Engineering from George Washington University, Washington D.C.
Mohammad Saeed Al-Shehhi
Mohammad Saeed Al-Shehhi is the Chief Operating Officer of d3.
Prior to d3, Mohammad held a number of prominent roles within the broadcast sector. For example, in 2008 he was appointed was Deputy CEO at DMI where he was responsible for developing the organisation’s corporate strategy and analysing operational and performance efficiencies. He also launched the first DMI native HD channels, developed DMI’s state of the art technical infrastructure and led DMI’s digital offering. Prior to this, Mohammad was Senior Director of Broadcast Services at du, where he managed the telecommunications company’s strategy and growth plans for the broadcast divisions achieving year on year growth of 24% and expanding the growth of du’s media and broadcast services regionally.
Mohammad holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the American University of Sharjah, and a Master’s degree in Digital Wireless Communications from the University of Leeds. Mohammad is a graduate of EDAAD as well as the Young Arab Leaders programmes. He was also voted amongst the most influential people in the Middle East in Digital Media.
Lindsay Miller is the Managing Director of d3 and is responsible for developing and implementing the d3 strategy.
Lindsay has worked in various roles across TECOM Group including Executive Director of Strategy and Business Development for the group’s six industry clusters. Her contribution includes the establishment of the Dubai Film and Television Commission, supporting the project that brought Mission Impossible 4 to Dubai and project management of the National Media Council’s TV audience measurement project, which led to Tview, the first initiative of its kind in the GCC.
